Gematria in use today relies on the Ktav Ashuri (modern) Hebrew letters and their values. Saying modern is a bit of a misnomer, seeing that Ashuri dates from the Babylonian Captivity in biblical times. The original Hebrew letters, known as Ktav Ivri, had similar but not identical values. Ktav Ivri, also known as Paleo-Hebrew, was the alphabet in use by the Jewish People prior to their forced relocation to Babylon, and is very similar to Phoenician.
The Torah was originally written in Ktav Ivri, and codified in it was all the secret (sacred) knowledge available to the Priests. Reading it with the benefit of the Ktav Ivri Gematria unlocks many levels of information, levels that are lost upon casual reading, or even if Gematria is applied using the more recent Ashuri letters and values.
Coming soon, in this space, will be a Ktav Ivri Gematria Calculator to assist everyone interested in these matters to more easily unlock the knowledge encrypted with this ancient key. The rediscovery of the more ancient Gematria is quite recent. Please join us in making even more discoveries. We look forward to hearing about them, and dedicate this website to spreading this knowledge far and wide.
